Lee Foden-Clarke - Sous Chef
Padstow born and bred, after finishing school at 16 Lee went to work for Rick Stein for four years.
After a meal at Number 6, Lee decided he couldn’t leave without finding out how he could replicate it and asked Paul for a job. Without an available position, Paul had to decline the request. Undeterred, Lee came back in and arranged a trial.
Two years into his role at Number 6, Lee has gained experience in all sections of the kitchen, showing a sharp focus, determination and natural talent that belies his 22 years.
Lee now runs the sauce section responsible for all main courses, and helps shape the future direction of the restaurant working with John and Paul in designing the menu.
Understandably, Paul and the team are extremely proud of Lee’s achievements and believe he is destined for great things.
