The challenge: to cook for The Olympic Feast
Great British Menu is back on BBC TWO at 7.30pm every week day from Monday 9th April 2012.
Watch out for Paul Aisnworth from Number 6 in Padstow on BBC TWO’s popular series Great British Menu. Paul is competing in the South West regional heat which transmits from Monday to Friday from April 9th at 7.30pm on BBC TWO.
This year’s challenge is to create a ground-breaking menu fit for Olympic heroes; celebrating the arrival of the London 2012 Olympics and demonstrating the extraordinary Olympian heights the talented chefs can reach.
Paul is one of twenty four of the country’s finest chefs competing for the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to create a world-beating four course menu at a prestigious event at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich. British Olympic legend Sir Steve Redgrave will host the gala event with a glittering guest list of British sporting greats.
For Paul to make it to the national finals he must get pastTom Kerridge (chef veteran judge) and then face the GreatBritish Menu judging panel, Oliver Peyton, Prue Leith and Matthew Fort in the regional final.
Paul’s Menu for the competition is:
Starter – Breakfast of Champions
Fish Course – Monkfish “Two Showings”
Main Course – Wishful Chicken
Dessert - Then & Now
Catch-up with Great British Menu for seven days after broadcast on BBC iPlayer www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer
